JUNTA ANDALUCIA - AACID partner of the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency "AMEE"
As part of the partnership between the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) and the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation (AACID) and the Junta de Andalucía (Spain), a launching workshop of the project to support Improving living conditions and service provision in social institutions in northern Morocco through the use of alternative energies, took place on May 10, 2018 at the Hassan-Rabat Tower Hotel.
AMEE and JUNTA ANDALUCIA-AACID have developed an energy efficiency program with a total cost of more than 6,000. 000 Dirhams. The aim of this program is to contribute to the rational use of energy in social institutions, to the improvement of the conditions of schooling of pupils and the working conditions of the national education and health provinces of Northern Morocco.
The specific objectives of this project are:
- Promote access to sanitary hot water for rural public health centers, through the implementation of solar water heating systems, thus improving the conditions for delivery of health care.
- Improve the conditions of schooling and work in rural schools, through electrification by solar photovoltaic systems, and the establishment of sustainable and quality energy services, while contributing to the sustainability of these services . This project is based on participatory management means, involving the Department of Education and provincial delegations. The objective is to ensure the availability of technical and financial means for the maintenance, maintenance, renewal of components of these systems and possibly the extension of services.
- Optimize energy consumption in public establishments (Boarding Houses, Retirement Homes, Child Protection Centers, Educational Centers, Maternity Services), through the installation of solar panels, for the heating of sanitary water, as well as than a large fleet of low energy lamps. This project will also optimize the management of energy consumption at beneficiary institutions, through energy audits, reports and recommendations.
The preservation of the quality and the technical performance of the equipment will be guaranteed by the establishment of a rigorous technical monitoring for two years, and the training of the technical staff, responsible for the maintenance and maintenance of energy services and equipment. . The project also provides support in terms of communication and information to the citizen, through the implementation of an integrated and permanent communication and information plan for the beneficiary populations.
This launch day was also an opportunity to sign implementing agreements with the beneficiary institutions.
